Interior Auto Repairs Using Flex Super Glue

Note: Before using Flex Super Glue, make sure to read all directions carefully and wear protective gear such as gloves while applying.

1. Fix Torn Upholstery

A rip here and a tear there can make your car look worn out and even affect your comfort. If you’re dealing with minor upholstery damage, Flex Super Glue is a fast, effective solution. First, clean the torn area to remove any dirt or debris, then apply a thin line of Flex Super Glue along the edges of the tear. Carefully press the fabric together, making sure the glue seeps into the tear for a strong bond. Hold it in place and apply pressure for about 30-45 seconds to let the glue set. Once dry, you have a discreet repair that levels up the look of your car’s upholstery.

Flexpert Tip: Depending on the type of rip or tear, you may also need to apply Flex Super Glue underneath the flap of the torn area.

2. Repair Trim Panels

Trim panels are common areas in vehicles that can come loose or break over time. This kind of damage can not only make your car look worn, but more importantly, it can be a safety issue. Flex Super Glue can help you adhere auto trim back into place in no time.

Begin by cleaning the contact surfaces to ensure that they’re free of dust, oil, or dirt. Apply a few drops of Flex Super Glue to the back of the trim and/or the attachment points. Line up the panel and put it back in place, applying pressure for 30-45 seconds to allow the glue to set. Flex Super Glue will cure in about an hour. Easy peasy!

3. Re-attach Loose Control Knobs

If some of your car’s control knobs are coming loose or have completely fallen off, you can use Flex Super Glue for a quick fix. This adhesive is designed to create a strong bond that resists vibrations and temperature changes, which is great for auto environments. Start by cleaning both the knob and the surface where it attaches to make sure there isn’t any dust, oil, or dirt. Then, apply a small amount of Flex Super Glue to the back of the control knob and carefully press it back into place, holding firmly for about 30-45 seconds.

Flexpert Tip: Allow about 24 hours for Flex Super Glue to cure before using the knob, to ensure a solid and lasting attachment.

These are just a few small repairs that can make a big difference in keeping your car’s interior functional and looking good. Keep some Flex Super Glue in your glove box or centre console, so you’re always ready to repair on the road.
